Anyone who has followed this blog for a while knows I have strong opinions about beer. This website is a testament to the number of craft beers I have downed over the years. That said, sometimes you just want a few drinks without breaking the budget.
So I built something for that.
Dusk Route helps people find the best happy hour deals near them. You pick a day (and optionally a time window), a suburb or region (or “near me”), and what you are after: beer, cocktails, $12 schooners, trivia, or whatever else is on. Results come back as a list of venues and specials, and you can switch to a map if you want to see what is actually around the corner.
Most of those specials are collected from thousands of pub websites. Happy hours change all the time, so the site also lets anyone report a wrong deal or submit one that is missing (including from a photo of the board).
Coverage started with Sydney and is spreading across Australia, with New Zealand venues in the mix as well. Open a suburb page and you get the weekly board for each place: days, times, prices, and conditions. Region pages also show drink prices and a few coverage stats, like which days are busiest.
If you are heading out after work, or planning a Saturday session, have a look at duskroute.com and see what is pouring nearby.
